Call for Papers
Invitation
The INFER Annual Conference is the main annual event of the International Network for Economic Research. The INFER Annual Conference provides a great opportunity for members and non-members of INFER alike to exchange ideas and to discuss results from recent economic research.
The INFER Annual Conference is open to contributions from all areas of economics. However, the 26th INFER Annual Conference will be jointly organized by the Technical University of Crete (School of Production Engineering and Management) and the Harokopio University of Athens (Department of Economics and Sustainable Development). There will be special parallel sessions on economic integration along the program.
This event provides an opportunity for those interested in any level of Applied Economics issues. Researchers, practitioners and entrepreneurs are invited to submit both empirical and theoretical papers that are broadly consistent in any of the Conference’s special topics.
The papers presented at INFER AC 2024 may be awarded by several prizes:

The papers presented at INFER AC 2024 may be awarded by several prizes:
- Research Prize (the best paper presented at the conference)
- Policy Research Award (the best policy-oriented paper presented at the conference)
- Young Economist Prize (the best paper presented by non-PhD students younger than 40 years old)
- PhD Paper Prize(the best paper presented by a PhD student)
Only full papers may be submitted for the INFER Annual Conference (this applies to both general sessions and special sessions). Papers must be in English and must include a cover page with the following information:
· An abstract of up to 500 words, with JEL classification and no more than 5 keywords
· Authors’ full name and affiliation
· Contact details for the corresponding author, such as address, phone and e-mail

Online Paper Submission
Speakers will not be able to present remotely. The event will only take place in person. Each presenter is allowed to deliver a maximum of two presentations, with the option to present one at the 26th INFER Annual Conference and the second at the5th Symposium on Circular Economy and Sustainability, all under the same fee structure.
Only full papers in English (by the 3rd of April, 2024 using Easy Chair platform) may be submitted for the INFER Annual Conference (this applies to both general sessions and special sessions).
Although it is not obligatory, you are encouraged to conform to use our template for submissions/manuscripts.
All submitted papers will be peer reviewed according to a high-quality and fast referee process.

Following the acceptance, authors will be invited to submit their full papers for consideration to the Special Issues announced following the Journals’ peer review process.
